removal of winch from 420C

I was wondering how difficult it is to remove a winch from a 420C (not sure of the brand of winch). Once removed, is the factory PTO still on the tractor? Are there any parts missing that would need to be put back on?

Just don't try to lift it off by hand. You will need to put a cover on or put a pto shaft back in with the correct cover. This is if it is a gearmatic winch don't know about the others.

Thank you. I just wanted to be sure there were no modifications to the tractor when the winch was installed.

I have been looking at a tractor for sale locally and was not interested in one with a winch. I would probably pull it and install a PTO.

Any idea on the weight of the winch, I think it is a cargo?

Sorry it took so long getting back to you, I finally got the tractor home yesterday. The winch is a Carco Model C series 3.

I'm planing on selling the Winch and installing a PTO.
