new development in steering department. I suspect new clutches are in order but interested in other thoughts.
I have had no problems with right steering clutch untill last summer, would work fine at first but the longer I ran dozer the more slippage I experianced.
By the end of 1-1/12 hrs when pushing a reasonable amount, right clutches pretty much became nonfunctioinal, repeated a couple of times so wasn't a fluke.
I replaced left side (thanks Levoy) a couple of years ago due to slipping from the getgo not relating to time under use. So I am wondering if anyone has thoughts on what is causing slippage only when it gets warm?
Thanks.

Re: 420C right steering clutch slippage.
A couple thoughts, easy checks for starters.
How is the adjustment?
Take the cover off the steering clutch compartment and look inside to see if things are contaminated.

Re: 420C right steering clutch slippage.
Often times it is oil contamination, which tends to get worse as the clutch gets warmer.

Thanks guys, going to look down there tomorrow with a line camera, suspect I will
find contamination. More questions to come I'm sure.
