I use Mobil 80W-140 SHC synthetic in all of mine, but plain old 80W-90 will be just fine.

shoot, im gonna be broak one way or another.. i got a 440 also, i gotta get a ring and pinion for it, and its gonna have to have the same oil n it to.. so im gonna be broak untill after the first few jobs with it.. gotta say i aint doing to bad though.. 600 for a 440 icd runs good with good 350 tracks, and my 420 i payed 500, but its been cut down with a lil wisconsin put n it.. its good for small jobs, tight areas..

sounds like you have some projects. ifound my book this morning, the trans and diff will take 6 1/2 qts. the finals will take 7/8 qt each. my first crawler was an mc with a gaermatic blade it was limited in use and well broke in,so i sold it and went to find a 420 5 roller with a #90 loader and now have one. it is much more handy for me, i use it as a skidloader, more load capacity and more stable. nick

Depends on the brand of clutch, but normally you pull the top 4 bolt plate off of the clutch, and there is a way to adjust it in there, been too many years since I did it.
