1010 Update

Post by GraderDan » Sun Jun 05, 2005 10:59 am

Hey Lavoy, we got the crawler split this weekend, the clutch is fine, but had to double split it because the coupling fell down inside the bellhousing when I pull the engine out. The coupling has a little ware, but is turns out not to be the problem, you can turn the transmission shaft in any gear with no resistance at all, so what ever let go let go in the rear end somewhere which is problaly why the pto started leaking too.
I want to replace the coupling before I put it back together since my fatherin law is going to have to have someone else tear the rearend apart and fix it since I have no manuals for that stuff. Do you stock that coupling or should I beable to get that from my local JD dealer ok?
Thanks, Dan

Cupling should be current from Deere, that is where I got the last one.
Don't put it back together, if there is transmission trouble, the guy is going to have to redo everything you did to work on the transmission.
