bo lindeman steering clutch questions

WELL.. I was breaking over a brush pile and hit the ballence point too fast. Nose and blade dropped fast. Apparently I was auditioning for 'Jackass 6 - burn pile fun.'

I was able to stay seated but put all my weight onto the steering clutch lever. Which pushed it forward. Of course I pulled it back and.. no turn breaking. I opened it up..checked out the lever and housing. The housing had sone wear on it and one of the previous owners welded the sleeve and pin onto the lever.

After getting it back together the lever is not in the proper position and I still have no turning clutch/brake function.

I've found a few diagrams but no step by step procedure.

Am I up the creek and have to disassemble the whole side (track etc) to get in there to fix it?
