Hi,
I know that with motorcycles if the head gasket looks good, it can be reused. Is this the same with the 2-cylinder John Deeres?
I'd rather not spend extra money putting the engine back together, as I will be doing a full rebuild on it after my shop is built.
Thanks,
Derek

I don't think I'd try it. I know that the gasket will form to the particular surfaces. Any time you disturb it I would think that's way too much possibility of a leak.
I know that a head gasket wouldn't be where I'd try to cut corners personally. I am curious if anyone has tried and what kind of results they have had.

I'll put in an order for a full gasket set with Lavoy.
Thanks for the comments.
