It arrived!

Post by powerwagon75 » Tue Apr 24, 2007 6:04 pm

We finally got the 440 I C today. I played with it for a while, and noticed that the rams that raise and lower the load, leak, and cause the whole assembly to slowly drop. I was told that by the seller, but am not sure if he is correct in suggesting, that tightening the nut (or whatever) around the seal may correct it. (one looks dry-rotted)
Anybody with experience in this? We don't have the books just yet, so we don't know how easy/ difficult this will be to fix.
We're really excited to have this little workhorse, so we would like to remedy the problem right away.
Thanks for any and all suggestions.

I do not know of any factory blade or loader that has adjustable glands, he is pulling your leg. You will have to take the cylinder/s apart and rebuild it.
