420/40 3-point Questions

I have aquired a 3-point off a 420C. I'm thinking of mounting it on my 40C. I have never seen one on a 40 but know you could get a field kit to equip them.

Will the 420 rockshaft housing mount to my 40? How does the control valve for the cylinder mount? I have the #61 blade on it now with a single control. Can I upgrade to double or did they have a seperate control?

Just looking for comments on this conversion. Anybody have a 3-Point on a 40? A picture would be wonderful and worth a thousand words.

As long as you have a 4 or 5 roller 40, the 3PT will go right on.
There is a special bracket that bolts to the front of the rockshaft housing for use on 40's and 420's under about serial number 113,000. I can't tell you where it is right now, but I have one if you need one.
You could put on a 420 dual hydraulic valve if you want dual hydraulics.

The bracket is for the hydraulic lever. With a 3PT, you no longer have a seat base for the standard bracket to bolt to.
