Pulling a crawler

Hi, I need to move a 440ic crawler that I am working on up the road about 1/5 mile. Is it ok to pull from the rear hitch backwards? I was thinking of jacking the blade up and chaining it into position and then pulling from the rear into a better place to work. I was just going to put it in neutral.

As long as you have lube in the rear end and finals shouldn't hurt anything.
