1010 Ring Gear

Hey Lavoy, pulled the back housing cover to the transmission housing tonight and you were right about the ring gear being riveted, there are ten of them. Looking down through the inspection hole at night, it looked like they were bolts, but I was wrong about that. Someone told me that the older crawlers had bolts and I went with along with it, so just wanted to let you know you were right about that and also about the powershaft having to come out, it is right in the way of gettin the ring gear and hub out the back of the housing.Think we may just replace the whole ring gear and hub, also there are quite a bit of metal shavings in there from a couple of rivets that being ground by the ring gear, will be a pain cleaning it all out. Oh joy.
