420 shifter

Post by country53 » Wed Jul 04, 2007 4:02 pm

I have a 420C,4speed.no reverser. I was making a path to drive utility vehicles on for fixing fence today and it locked in 2nd gear but the shifter lever felt like it was out of gear. I took the lid off and lined it all back up and it is "OK" for now. I was wondering what needs done to make it like new again? I rebuilt transmission, differental, final drives, steering clutches, trackframes, engine, and fuel system. Everthing works fine but I got the little issue with the shifter.

If there is a lot of play in the shifter socket, you can put a second snap ring on top of the first one and that will tighten it up quite a bit.
