Relief Valve

Post by buckhunter » Wed Aug 08, 2007 5:41 pm

I was wondering if anyone has or could tell me where I could get a good used relief valve for a 2010 track loader? Loader is an 820 model. Relief valve is off the Port Plate and it's a 2500 PSI relief valve. JD Part # I have from my parts list is "AU40751". JD is a bit steep on the price of that relief valve. The parts to rebuild it are obsolete or JD can’t get them.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Just a thought. You might be able to go to a local hydralic repair shop and find all the parts you need to rebuild the relief valve. Stick to an independent shop, don't go to cat or someone of that type.
The independent can measure everything and match it. You may have to shim to get proper relief pressure. They might also know of a crossover valve.
I deal with a couple of independent shops and they are much more reasonable than the larger shops.

If at first you don't succeed, get a bigger hammer.
