Lavoy,
I've located a local shop that can re-pin the tracks on my 420, and I can buy pins from Deere. I will still need a few more 420 links. I know you have them, but I'm wondering if you have ever heard of anyone using bushings in the links themselves to size a 350 link down to fit a 420 pin?
I ask because I think I can find 350 links locally, and probably much cheaper. I'm not worried about the 2 versus 4 bolt pads. I can make something that will work using a rail road tie plate for the new pads.
Thanks,
Gary
350/420 track link conversion
Lavoy,
OK. That makes sense. I didn't think about the height of the links. I may have to get some more links from you. I still have a ways to go on the tracks, and more block retaining walls to build, and more steps to pour, and a son's shop that is only now begun. And maybe a couple of summer trips to get behind us. I just finished a crude body dolly for the radiator shell. Little parts are turning green. I will get to the tracks, though.
Thanks,
