Pin and bushing wear

Post by CELSESSER » Thu Sep 13, 2007 6:17 pm

Hi guys,

I just measured my tracks on the old 440 and though my rail height is great, my pins and bushings measure, you guessed it, exactly 100% worn on both sides (23.5 in.). The bushings havn't been turned and I am supprised show very little wear externally(maybe due to the grosely worn sprockets).
My question is, how many hours of operation can you expect from new pins and bushings till you get to 100% worn? I am in the land of sugar sand and nice gravel ( if that makes any difference).
Also, would you expect to get more hours out of the bigger pins and bushings on a 350 track?

Thanks,
Chuck

I don't think there is any definite answer as to hours, but I would guess 500-1000 depending on conditions. I would think that 350 would be better than that when installed on a 420.
