40c carburetor

Just curious if anyone has ever removed the "econimizer jet" from a marvel schebler carb before? Mine is tagged as a TSX-641 on a 40c dozer. I think that some equip. fitted with these carbs has the jet while others do not. I found my rebuild kit through "Roberts carburetor repair" and they have a very nice web site with exploded views that may be useful to some members. Anyway the jet is #15 if anyone is interested and I was wondering if anyone has ever drilled it out or removed it and noticed any improvements.

I am not positive, but I am pretty sure that the carb will not function with this jet romoved.
