THe engine that came with or MC is a "basket case" and I cannot figure out what is bolted on the front cover of the engine at the end of the cam shaft. It is the opening on the left hand side if looking at the engine from the front. The two holes on the right of the cover are for the crankshaft and governor. Any help would be great, Thanks.

If you are not going to need hyd on the crawler, there is a cover plate that goes over the hole.
