steering clutch education

Post by kyboy » Sun Oct 28, 2007 8:00 am

:D after a few tear downs and the advice of the experts on the board,i have finally made my father happy. the old 1010 is ow steering VERY WELL. the gauge used to set them with is a pretty important piece.take my word for it.i made my own from an educated guess as to what the setting was from the book. it worked fine. i had the fingers set to far out and had to adjust them in almost 3/8ths of an inch.thank you to those who replied. the info on here is invaluable.now all i have to figure out is how to put the bellypan on by myself.that should be fun. thank you all.

I assume your speaking of the mongo skid plate. I am in the same pickle. My plan is to string a cheap 2 ton come-a-long around the tractor and below the pan..jack er' up into place.
