I do believe you guys are correct that it is a 2010 because it appears to have the solid front idlers instead the spoked front idlers of a 1010.
If it is a gas 2010, then you may have a few more issues with parts availability than a diesel 2010 because more diesels were built than gas versions (1100 vs 8000+). I would imagine there were plenty of gas wheel tractors though.
You will have some more HP with a 2010, but you're still not going to move mountains with it (I can vouch for that with my 2010). 2010 is also still going to have limited undercarriage parts availability. The price is a little more reasonable for a 2010 with those accesories. I went with a 2010 over a 350 and I haven't regretted it, other than some parts availability issues.
As for serial number, if it is an earlier model then the serial number tag would be on the engine block. That can be a bad thing if the engine has been replaced with one from another machine (like it was on mine). I have no idea what my serial number is, although I can narrow it down to an early model around 20,000 because of the fuel injection setup and early undercarriage.
I am looking for advice before I make a decision on a 1010
