MC belt pulley

Post by FarmLife » Fri Nov 09, 2007 10:08 am

I am looking at buying a belt pully to put on our MC but what I am wondering is what else do I need to get other than the pulley unit. I know I will need a lever but is there something else that goes into the trans. I have not taken to cover off of the trans but there is nothing sticking out of the trans to attach the lever to.

What should I expect to pay for a decent used pulley assembly? Also what does it cost to get the pulley's re-papered?

If you do not already have the pulley shift lever on the tranny, you are likely looking at a lot of work. My guess is you will have to tear the tranny down and install all of the pulley shift and drive components. I don't think it can be done any other way.
