MC battery door problem
I purchased an mc earlier this year with a loader. I torched the loader and started to look for sheet metal as all mine was removed for clearance for the loader years ago. I found an old battery door and it hits the rail near my clutch foot. How did they come originally? I cannot see any way a stock door worked on a crawler. Thanks

Hi,
Weren't the MC doors just an M door cut down the middle with the second hinge added. I'm trying to picture one in my mind, but it's been a while since I've seen one.....
I mean, they made the thing up so why can't we?
Later!

The door is identical, it is the hinge that is different. The tractors use a solid hinge, but the crawler has the half of the hinge that is on the door kind of open. It would be like a "Z" shape for lack of a better term. You hinge the door out, then kind of pull on it, and it will pop off the hinge and rod which stay attached to the crawler. I have a couple of NOS ones, wouldn't really be too hard to convert a new one if you could make the hinge piece.
