1010 Tank Sender Resistance
1010 Tank Sender Resistance
Anybody known off the top of their head what the normal tank sender resistance is for a 1010? Something is telling me that it's a 0 - 90 ohm sender but I was hoping it was the more common 33 - 240 ohm. Thanks.

I checked it, AT13156, several times, 0-0.5 all the way down (empty) and 30.2 - 30.5 all the way up (full). So I would say it is a 0 - 30 ohm sender. I looked online and my Deere Ag Dealer has them listed for $64.90 and my Deere Construction dealer has them listed for 80.84. I always check both, because there can be a big difference sometimes for the same part from the ag side vs. the construction side, usually the construction side being more expensive. This does not include shipping as I always have them put it on their weekly stock order and pick it up. Hope this helps.

Thanks for checking Paul. I got curious after I posted yesterday and took apart the old one I have and confirmed the same range on the wirewound resistor. My ag dealer lists them for $59 so I might go that way.
I might take one shot at fixing the old one now that I have it in pieces. The only real problem I found was that the little dimple on the end of the wiper was worn off and was dragging and not making good contact. A little patience and a clean soldering iron and I'm back in business.
Been fighting with getting four broken off bolts out of the left side track frame this weekend. I've got about 4 hours in the project and managed to get one completely out so far. Gotta love rusty crawlers.
