steering clutches
im getting ready to take my 58/420 dozer apart it will not turn left or right can someone please give me a rough guess on a complete clutch set for both sides. i would like to put all new in it since it will be apart.. thank you Eric...
I recommend replacing at least the fiber discs and the pressure plates and at the seals while you got it apart. If the seals leak then the fibers will get oil covered and you will have wasted your time and money. Might as well check the bearings while it is apart. If they are sloppy then you will tear up the gears and then you're talking big bucks. It seems like a lot of money but it will last you forever if you do it right.
