lavoy can you e mail the price of the shaft to me? also the man that owns the dozer is wondering if he could cut two couplers to make make one,he says his is fine and if he could get a course one he would cut it and weld it back together, he says this coupler is between the trans and clutch driveshaft, thanks for your time...Eric

Not sure what he means by cutting the couplers and what he intends to do. If you can find out more of what he wants to do.

Lavoy,
It sounds like he is talking about cutting a fine spline and a course spline coupler apart and welding half of a fine spline to a half of a course spline together so he can use the course spline imput shaft that he has with the fine spline driveshaft in the crawler.
Might work IF alligned correctly.

I guess I don't know if if the shafts will interchange, had never even thought of it. The trans case is different, my guess is that you can't use the early shaft in the later crawler.
