440ic will not start
Bought a 440ic that has 20 hours on a complete overhaul. Crawler ran great for a while at my farm. Let it sit you 2 weeks and now it will not start. Have checked all the obvious, fuel is getting to the carb, plugs are getting moist(not soaked), spark is getting to points and plug wires, has 130 compression in each cylinder, tried ether . Will not fire a lick. What am I missing
Luke first let me say welcome to the board . First thing to do is replace the spark plugs in it . I have several two cylinder gas engines that if one plug is bad they will not start . On my 420 the cap got moisture in it this spring and would not start also a little spritz of WD-40 and a wipe with a soft cotton cloth cured that , but it would try to fire once in a while . Had it setting outside under a new tarp , should have removed the tarp sooner as the underside of the tarp was wet with condensation . Dan

440ic won't start
Hi Luke;
You have checked the obvious reasons for not starting. In your other post about breather tube, check to see if there isn't a blockage in that. Thats the three important things fuel, spark and air. I would check the coil it could be a long shot. Timing could be an issue too,I have seen engines not start after shut down for that reason.
