question for lavoy?

Post by cardoc1975 » Tue Aug 12, 2008 7:29 pm

I recieved the clutch finger height tool and adjusted my finger height according to the diagram. The fingers were really out if I adjusted them correctly. If you have the tool across the clutch drum, the contact area for the throw out bearing should just touch the recessed area on the tool right next to the middle protrusion (for lack of a better word) on the tool.
That leaves the fingers paralell to the clutch drum surface or close. That sound right???The tool will only work one way on the steering clutch and one way on the engine clutch right? Looks to be about and inch or so from the throwout bearing surface on the fingers to the clutch drive input shaft. Thanks, Jeremy

The factory service bulletin on the clutch adjustment procedure is in the Faq's section, and it shows a pic of how it is done. I think you have it correct already, but can't hurt to check.
