Newbie Head for a 40C

Anyone have a good head for a 40C? I went to change oil today, and there was a little bit of anti freeze in the oil. Pulled of the valve cover, and one of the previous owners appears to have applied some kind of goop to the top of the heat in a line behind the back rocker arm stud. Apparently a previous owner had done a cheap fix on a crack. The crawler had been running, and the rad was pressured up so that some anti freeze was weeping along the crack.

Probably could be fixed, but maybe better to get a decent one and start fresh.
