After checking pressures on hydraulic reverser, and pulling cover of transmission, we till have no movement. Everything looks good. Could the coupling or spine be stripped? No apparent noise from reverser. Can the reverser and transmission be separated to inspect coupling? Which is more likely to fail, the coupling or the spline? Help!

If the coupling failed, the splines will be bad at both ends (reverser output and trans input).

You can check by pulling the reverser filter cover off, draining the oil, and then - you can stick you hand in a manually turn. Easiest is to turn the reverser counter-shaft. Turn it with the gear trans in gear and see if it has any resistance.
