any info for JD model MC

Post by Steveo » Mon Oct 06, 2008 5:02 pm

I have recently found a JD model MC crawler,serial#6271.It appears to have been stored in a shed and likely hasn't run for 20+ years.Part of the shed roof had fallen on one side,possibly cracking the wooden running board,was parked with it's battery hooked up,carb float bowl is cracked,tracks are in good shape,as is paint and cosmetics.It's got a heavy duty root rake mounted,but did'nt see a dozer blade.It's a 2 cyl gas engine.My questions about this machine are-Does it have much value,as is,or if I get it in running order.Is it rare or collectible?As well ,when was it made?
It's located on a small island,outside of Vancouver,B.C.Anyone who can help me will be most appreciated,thanks sincerely Steveo

Hi Steveo;

Most of the guy's on here would die for one. If the price is right take it in a heart beat . I'm sure that you can find parts for it. I would look around the island, the blade could be there. Post some pic's if possible, Lavoy will tell you all you need to know about it

I have s/n 10129. How much can you get it for?
