blade modification

Post by cat10til2 » Thu Oct 09, 2008 5:18 am

I have a manual 6 way blade on my 1010 and was thinking of trying to make it power. Has anyone converted one before? I am not worried about angling the blade so much as I would like to make the tilt power. Does the pivot point work ok being off center like it is with the manual blade?

thanks

The slide part of the tilt mechansim is not meant to be able to slide all the time like it would be with power tilt. Not that it will not do it, but if you break it, it is an obsolete part, and about the only option left then is to weld the blade solid so it will not tilt.
