I spotted this pup shown in the link below in one of the local yards. I was thinking of going after the crawler but leaving the loader, but before I did I wanted to check with this brain pool. The loader frame had a John Deere tag on it, so I assume it was the real thing, not some hobble cobble addon. Is the loader frame worth anything? I'm not even going to ask if you think I should save the crawler. That would be a stupid question.

That is a factory #90 loader, I would take the whole thing.

If you do not buy this, can you put me in touch with the junkyard? I would like to buy the tracks.
Thanks
Steve

Steve,
If you buy tracks from a 430 or 420 to go on your 440 be aware
that you'll be at least one link short on each side. The 440 used 36
links and the 420/430 used 35.If the tracks you buy have bushings
so worn that the pins are showing then someone might have shortened
the tracks by removing a link.If lost then you'll need two links per
side.Been there and had that happen.JimAnderson
