My MC must need a new thermostat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kind of thinking my MC needs a new thermostat. Was out pushing snow last night at -10 or so, and just could not get enough heat out of the heater. My fingers and nose were getting kind of cold, and the ice was freezing on my face. I had the fan turned up to 20 MPH out of the NW, but still no warm air. Funny thing is, couldn't get the damn air conditioning to work this summer either!

My MC thermostat worked fine today. Heater held a steady 70 degrees with about a 4mph fan from the south, for most of the afternoon. Pat in sunny NC

I am hoping that we get enough snow to fire up the MC. Usually do not get enough to worry about. Snowing heavy for here right now. expect to get maybe 6 inches. May have to look for that heater switch!! must be at least 26 degrees this morning!!!! That is cold for western Oregon!!!

I used to plow snow with my 440 but it never seemed to know if I was trying to plow snow or excavate a new driveway. It would just merrily chug along, pushing gravel into the lawn and skimming off the top layer of soil.

hey Lavoy,the fact that your sitting on a machine that is solid steel at -10 doesn't help much either!!
I was sent to minot a few years ago in jan for work,I learned you guys have a whole new meaning for the word cold,it was funny to see everyone cars,and things plugged in with the block heaters.

Thats half the fun, a crawler loader on a 440 really dose a good job at that also. On the plus side the teeth leave some nice ridges in the gravel for added traction with the truck

Any coolant ports on the front of the head? Maybe something could be cobbed up where you run a hose through the inside of the seat cushion. It's usually my fingers and toes that start complaining first, but you can always sit on your hands!

You can install shoes on the blade to prevent the lawn from looking like your driveway come spring. Without them I wouldn't bother unless the ground was well below freezing.
