1010 numbers.

Post by cdndozer » Thu Jan 22, 2009 2:23 pm

I pulled these numbers off my 1010 deisel I recently purchased to find out the year.
The 1st numbers are off the engine front left hand side of the machine.I had to stick the camera down between the frame and engine. The numbers I got were T16162T.
The 2nd set of numbers came off the right side closer to the brake pedal the number reads T139227.
It is an earlier model 1010 that I am aware of,is there any way of figuring the numbers stamped on the machine?
On the motor # the last two digits are 62 would that represent the year?
Any help greatly appreciated,Thanks in advance.

I don't have a defnitive answer for you, but those sound like part numbers rather than the serial number, which would have been on a serial number dataplate attached to the engine.

Serial number is on the RH front side of the block, on a serial number tag.
