MY 1957 420C HAS A VERY TIRED OLD MOTOR FROM A "M" IN IT .
I HAVE BOUGHT A RE-BUILDABLE MOTOR OUT OF A 1958 420T .
DOES ANY ONE KNOW OF ANY REASON THIS MOTOR WOULD NOT FIT, BEFORE I START THE REBUILD. THANKS

FDBYRD,
The engines from the 420 series are interchangable.

Engine swap
FDBYRD,
I should have pointed out in my response to your
question that there is a difference in the cooling system between
the M engine and the later series 420 engine. The 420 has a water
pump and attached fan where the M has no water pump. You
will need the water pump from the 420.Hopefully your rebuildable
block has the pump attached.Sorry for any confusion.
