oil from drain hole and slobbering

Post by frozendozer » Wed Apr 22, 2009 8:50 pm

Folks we have the following patient

jd440 icd
2-53 Diesel

Symptoms:

slobbering oil form exhaust pipe
large amounts of oil existing the drain hole.
Appears to have used some oil.

History:

prolong idleness while rebuild of finale drives and clutches underway
new rotor wane installed in blower, by me, the rookie heavy duty mechanic
hand made gasket for installation of super charger.
replaced fuel pump

before i had it the machine sat idle for several years. I was able to track down one of the previous owners and he told me that he had performed a head gasket job on it, but ran good when he sold it. He however doesn't know how the person i got it from obtained it.

help i need some advice
