steering clutches

Post by Eric.MacLeod » Mon Jun 15, 2009 5:06 pm

i have new metalic clutches for my 420, when i unwrapped the steel disc they seem to have something on them i would guess to stop them from rusting. does this get washed off or is it part of having metalic cluches? i would guess wash it off but didnt know if it was something to brake new clutces in.. thanks Eric

Eric , I would say that the substance is a rust preventive , clean with hot soapy water or brake cleaner before installing them . Dan
