420c sod pan removal?

Post by jdjohng » Mon Nov 28, 2005 8:41 pm

I am trying to remove the sod pan from my 420c for the first time and I am having a hard time figuring it out. I took out the bolts under the front bumper, The big side bolts (one on each side), the four that bolt to the final drives (two on each side). The front will drop almost a foot and the rear almost the same. I can work the shield side to side some but it feels like something is holding it up in the center. I was going to seperate the front and rear pans but I can't get at all the bolts to do that. Thanks for any help.

You will probably need to slide it ahead to get the front pan to let go of the front crossbar.
