I have a 1010 crawler and want to change some of the fluids. In my owners manual that I recieved with the crawler the previous owner wrote hydraul 56 by the lubrication chart. This would be for the final drives, transmission, and reverser.
Is this correct putting these fluids in or should I be changing it to something different. The book says to use SAE 80 multi purpose lubricant.
Thanks,Mark

Reverser is Hy-Gard or equivalent, trans and finals are gear lube. I hope he has not been running gear lube in the reverser.

The manual says use 80w for the transmission and finals.Would it be okay to use something like 75-90w in these.
The manual also says to flush the transmission out with diesel fuel, drain and then add your fluid. Is this the right process and is it necessary?

75-90 is fine. I always flush the trans if I do not know any history on the crawler.
