Just wondering if one is better than the other. Are diesels more reliable than gas engines or is it the other way around? Thanks for any replies, Tom.

For the most part that will be a matter of opinion and/or personal preference. I suppose all in all, a diesel will be less llikely to have problems on the whole, but even that could be argued.

well no spark plugs to foul out on the diesle the blugs on my gas 440 last about 2 1/2 hours then they foul (yea it burns oil) but i think the gas will push at a lower RPM than the diesle will. just my 2 cents. fishhawk
