Lindeman seat channel

Post by CalJim » Sun Sep 20, 2009 10:19 pm

Hello All,

I am a newcomer to these forums, recently became the owner of a 1946 Lindeman. I have restored a handfull of JD B wheel tractors, currently own a 1936 BN, 1943 BN, 1944 BW and am finishing up a 1951 B.
So being new to the crawler end of things I'll probably be asking alot of questions. Here's one: I need a seat channel, haven't had much luck finding one old or new. Have an idea, need your opinions. My local steel fabricator can bend channel, can someone give me the overall size and the radius? I can drill the holes, mill the slot, etc. What do you think?
Also does anyone know where to get a copy of the Operator's Manual?
I have the Parts Manual but need to know lubricant types, capacities, etc.
Thank You CalJim
p.s. I [do not own an MC crawler![/i]

The MC Crawler designation is just an indicator of how many posts you have made. It will change to newer crawlers as you go along.

Caljim, Ted Adams (along with Lavoy) is a Lindeman Guru. He may have a seat channel and the manual. Check out his website. www.lindemanarchives.com. And welcome to crawlers!! Pat
