Should last forever like that, but it would not have good traction.

You know what would be even better, is make the back axle a differential, and drive it with the PTO. Put a hyd cylinder for the steering, and hook it into the remotes on the crawler.

Too bad it is not an earlier model, it could the one and only "Levitating Lindeman".
Boy would that bring big money at an auction.

That would be really funny if the wheels were hidden behind the tracks and driven off the PTO. People would do a major double take when they saw you float by on the thing.
