UndercaTriage interchanging of parts John Deere 1010 440 430

Post by jay563 » Sat Jan 30, 2010 12:13 pm

I am looking for some inforamtion on parts interchangeability. I have a John Deere 1010 and 440 parts crawlers and am fixing up a John Deere 430.

What parts from the 1010 and 440 will fit the 430 in track parts area?

From my research, the track frames on 430 are different that the other two.

The 440/1010 final drive is different but the pan and sprocket are the same. The bottom rollers look to be the same, but i am not sure about the front idler and top idlers. Is the 1010 belly pan the same as 430 also?

Any help would be appreciated. I looked at parts book, but just not sure about some of the items.

Thanks

430 used the same bottom rollers, upper idler but not mount, sprockets will work, you may have to change trackframe width depending on sprocket dish. Belly pan is no where close, completely different concept.

What about the front idlers, what interchangeability is there to that?

Thanks for the insight on parts interchanging. I guess i will keep those 1010 crawler parts that fit the 430. I think the front idlers will interchange too, you would just have to modify the shafts i believe.
