Can leaking themal relief valves be replaced without completely rebuilding a single remote control valve? This is on a 58 420C. System seems to operate normally but the relief valve does leak quiet a bit.

Yes they can, push in slightly on the valve, then remove the snap ring that is above the disc that hold the valve. Pull on the valve with a pliers or whatever, and you should be able to pull the disc out. Be careful, there is a spring under the disc. If the disc is really rusted into the valve body, you may be able to turn the relief out with a wrench and not even take the disc out.
