air breather on 420 (how much sucken should there be)

after rebuilting the engine on the 420 I was checking the air breather, and I notice that when I take the air breather cap off and put my hand over the breather that there does not seem too be much sucken, and it does not seem too make the engine die out, is this normly, should there not be a lot of sucken on the breather

Yes, it should really grab your hand if you choke it off. Check the rubber elbow from carb to air cleaner, make sure it is not perforated.
