420C JD steering clutch housing

Post by country53 » Fri Jan 13, 2006 5:07 pm

After 3years and several thousand dollars I've got my 420 working well. The steering clutch fiber disc and pressure plates were the last thing I did. It is really nice to operate now. However in moving it from the working on building to the ready to use building I remembered a hole in the bottom of the clutch housing on each side that a mouse might(hell, will)get in. I was wondering can I plug this hole and if so what size is it?

If it is the one straight up in the bottom, it is 3/4" pipe plug.
