1010 inside mount 6 way blade onto 440?

Post by mc_mike » Sun May 02, 2010 6:30 am

Considering buying a 1010 Dozer with 6 way power blade and was wondering if it would be a "bolt" on for a 440? It is the inside mount blade.

Thanks,
Mike

I am prtty sure it will bolt on, but you need a 3 way valve to run it. If you use the 1010 valve, you will have to back the pressure relief off, the 1010 runs at higher pressure, and your 440 pump will not tolerate that.

Thanks for the info. Would any of the drive train swap with the 440? Final drives? Sprockets and chains do if I remember correctly.

Chains, rollers, front idlers, upper idlers will. Unless you have a very high serial number 440, the sprockets will not, nor will the finals likely fit. Internals of the finals are all different, some outside pieces may fit depending on serial number of both machines. Engine, reverser, and trans are completely different.

joy stick on a 440

Post by Dave T » Mon May 03, 2010 3:10 am

I have 440 dozer with an inside blade and a six way joy stick control. The control looks like the one in the pic. that is in the JD whisperer message from a couple of days ago. I assume mine is from a 1010. I like the control setup, it works well. I rebuilt the linkage on the joy stick last year, looked alot harder than it was.
