i need to know what is the correct operators and parts books to order for a 56 and 57 420 crawler from john deere when i search for operators manuals it comes up with three differnt ones to choose from and the same with the parts manuals.John

Op Manual for S/N 100001-125000 is OMT31756----$30.00
Op Manual for S/n 125001 and above is OMT42757 ----$30.00
Parts catalog for either machine is PC505----$65.00
All are also available in CD form.

Hi: To get a free parts catalogue, got to the John Deere's web site linked below, and type in "420" for model and look for "505 - 420 and 430 tractors", then download the .pdf file. good luck with your machines. Paul
