jd40c steering clutch adjustments

40C steering clutchs Would some one please tell me what the adjustment measurements should be on the clutch at the adj bolt jam nut set up. I have adj by guess and by gollie but now slipping and I would like to do it right. Thanks

Steering lever 1 5/8" from the dash, set the throwout bearing to contact there.
