I have a complete extra tranny and dif for my 420. If I keep it, I would like to store it in my shed.

The case is broken so I can't just fill it with oil. I have a new case, but no time or inclination to switch it out. What would be a good coating to prevent rust?

I'm thinking a good coat of grease on all moving parts. Any better suggestions?

LPS makes some parts coating spray that is made for storage. If it is inside, something as simple as WD40 may put enough of a coating on it to get by.
