Is the engine from the M series the same as the engine in the model 40? I seem to find a lot of used M engines, not many from a 40. Thanks

The block is the same, head may or may not be different. M is cast iron pistons, 40 is aluminum. I think 40 has bigger rod bearings, different carb, and runs faster. About 20% more power too. A 40 eninge should no be hard to find, I have two of them on hand.

There is a rebuilt 420 engiine on eBay 7588801088 and it's in New york, might be too much power for a 40C. Bryce
