2010 crawler tach

Post by jhv1050 » Thu Dec 30, 2010 2:05 pm

Looking for info on the tachometer on a 2010 crawler diesel, I have not been able to find on through deere dealer. Will any other deere Tach work in this crawler?
Thanks

You did not mention any part numbers. I have a 2010 diesel with a parts manual. I bought the tach cable at the local JD dealer without any problems. Here are the part numbers in question.

Tack - AT 17449T (it does not specify gas or diesel, must be the same)

Cable - AT 15470T for serial numbers to 42000
AT 17504T for serial numbers after 42000

You can try the JDParts website or contact your local JD Dealer for any cross-reference with wheeled tractors too. Then you can try a tractor junkyard if you knew what models to look for.

If you need a good tractor junkyard, there are several in Ohio I can recommend with phone numbers. Try ebay too.

2010 tach

I have a 2010 crawler and a 2010 tractor. If you just want to know the RPM's, any 2010 tach will fit. The tach on my 410 backhoe is a different diameter (smaller). I suppose it could be made to fit with an adapter plate.

You can also use any aftermarket gas tach by gluing two magnets to the crank pully and making a bracket to hold a crank trigger. Set the tach to 4 cylinder mode (2 pulses per crank rotation) and that will give you the most accurate reading you can get.
